Belmond is enhancing its prestigious travel offerings with the launch of the Britannic Explorer, the first-ever luxury sleeper train in England and Wales.
Set to debut in July 2025, the Britannic Explorer will embark on a remarkable three-night journey from London, taking guests through some of the UK’s most breathtaking landscapes. Travellers can select from three captivating routes through Cornwall, the Lake District, and the wild beauty of Wales.
Designed by Albion Nord, the train perfectly blends classic British elegance with modern comfort. It features 18 luxurious cabins, including three Grand Suites and 15 Suites, each serving as a serene retreat after a day of adventure.

The train’s fine dining experiences, crafted by renowned Chef Simon Rogan—known for his Michelin-starred restaurants—will spotlight local ingredients and the diverse culinary offerings from across the UK. Guests can also enjoy bespoke cocktails and spirits at the Victorian-inspired bar or unwind in the onboard wellness suite.
